General Leasing Questions

Can I pay my bill with a credit card? Is there an extra charge?

Yes! View your balance, submit electronic check, or pay with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover from any computer or smartphone. Visit and click the “Resident Login” button. There is a 3 – 5 percent convenience fee to make payments with credit card, or $1.50 fee for eCheck.


What if I need to cancel my lease?

Leases are legal contracts for the said term. Residents are responsible for the entire term of the lease. We offer lease re-assignments for a $300 fee. Please see a leasing professional for further details.

If I pay in full, do I get a discount?

Union Tempe does not offer discounts for rent paid in full. However, prepayment gives you the peace of mind knowing that your account is in good standing at all times!

Do you allow pets?

Union Tempe is a pet friendly community! Permitted animals must weigh no more than 50 lbs. and aggressive breeds are not permitted. No more than one animal is permitted in a bedroom and no more than two animals are permitted in an apartment.

What do I need to hook up my computer to the internet?

You will need a CAT 5 (Ethernet) cable. We have internet outlets in each bedroom and common area. Your computer must be configured properly for the internet to work. Your computer or device must be registered as an active device with our internet service provider. We also have community-wide WiFi.

How many people live there?

We have 407 apartments ranging in size from studios to 4 bedrooms, please check out our Rental Criteria for occupancy limits.

What do I need to Qualify?

We have three different options to qualify. 1) On approved credit with proof of income equal to 2.5 times the installment 2) With an approved Guarantor 3) With a security deposit equal to 1.5 times an installment payment.

Is parking available?

We have a limited amount of garage parking spaces available for lease on a first come, first served basis. The parking garage has controlled access.

What is the cost?

Which apartments are furnished and what furniture is included?

All of our 3 and 4 Bedroom Apartments in Tower 1 are furnished. The furnishing package includes a sofa, chair coffee table, end table and entertainment stand for the Common Area. Each of the bedrooms include a desk and desk chair, two chests of drawers, and a full-size, extra-long bed with Tempur-Pedic Mattress! We suggest you bring queen-sized sheets, which will work well instead of paying higher prices for “special” sized sheets.

What types of leases are available?

We offer 12 installment leases.

What utilities are included in my monthly installment?

Our rental package covers high-speed internet, water & trash. The resident is responsible for electric.

When can I move in?

Move in date for Summer 2018 is as early as August 1st, 2018. Please contact the Leasing Office for more information

When do I put down a deposit?

If you choose to qualify by paying a refundable deposit, you must pay it (equivalent to 1.5 times an installment payment) within 10 days of signing your lease.

When is my first payment due?

Summer 2018 residents will need to pay their first month’s installment by July 15, 2018.

Will you send me a bill for each installment?

We do not send any invoices, but for your convenience, you can use our online resident portal to check your balance at any time. However, payment is due at the first of the month and is considered late after 10:00 AM on the 3rd.
